The Compagnia Stabile enthusiastically resumes its summer activity, and will face another season full of events, thus continuing its theatrical activity aimed at maintaining and spreading the local dialect, the Sanremo “Giargun”.
Proudly, thanks to the patronage of the Municipality of Sanremo, Department of Tourism and Events, this year too it organizes the dialect theater review, dedicated to Nini Sappia, founding member, and now in its 25th edition.
In this edition, some of the best Ligurian and Piedmontese companies are proposed and, as always, the public will decide the verdict, with laughter and applause. The event will take place on Saturday evening, at 9pm, in Piazza San Siro, and will be divided into 8 evenings (from Saturday 20 July to Saturday 7 September), in which the seven guest companies will perform and, out of competition, the Permanent Company in the final evening; afterwards, the awards will take place.
In addition to the realization of the Festival, the Company will perform in many towns of the Province, where it always receives the enthusiastic approval of the spectators. Since 2009, at its headquarters in Piazza Cassini 13, the Compagnia stable city of Sanremo has been organizing a series of Sanremo cultural events for its loyal public to discover, learn more and learn our Sanremo dialect through reading. and the interpretation of its major writers, with nice moments of “play” and knowledge of traditional musical pieces. The initiative has gathered enthusiastic support among Sanremo people (and others) eager to spend a few evenings peacefully and so the joyful atmosphere of each meeting led the participants to attempt the recitation of one-act plays and skits in dialect, which on SUNDAY 23 JUNE, at 6 pm, will be performed in the open-air “Theatre” of the San Giovanni hamlet assisted by some “professional” actors. Popular songs will close the event, with free admission, and to which: Sanremaschi and sanrefemmine of all ages are invited.
