In the Marche region everything is ready to welcome the Women of Italian Wine on the occasion of the national convention. The region has in fact been chosen as the venue for the annual meeting which will be held from 20 to 24 June. A traveling program that will involve all the provinces and will also be an opportunity to carry out promotion and training. “You will discover the Marche endlessly” is the title of the program that will cross Ascoli Piceno, Recanati, Jesi, Senigallia, Pesaro (Italian Capital of Culture 2024), Genga, Fabriano, Loreto and Ancona with the Conero Riviera. We will officially leave Saturday 22 June at Palazzo Ducale in Pesaro con the conference “The new frontiers of wine, between culture, tourism and well-being” and with the national dimension of the Women of Italian Wine Convention. The Convention will include visits to wineries, cultural tours and unique guided tours of Casa Leopardi, the Basilica of Loreto, the Frasassi Caves, the Rotonda a Mare and the Conero Riviera. Two moments will be dedicated to teaching and in-depth analysis of the DOC and DOCG expressed by the Marche, these are two masterclasses: “The Classic Method in the Marche” and “The longest-lived white wines of the Marche”. Every convivial moment of the Convention will be an opportunity to taste our native wines, protagonists of the cellars of the Women of Wine of the Marche and to learn about our gastronomic excellences, perfect in combination with our wines.
Those who nominated themselves as a 2024 destination were precisely the 33 associates from the Marche region. «Ours was a team effort. After having developed together the idea of applying to host the 2024 Convention, we were able to structure and propose a detailed program of meetings, masterclasses, visits and hospitality, thanks to the support of partners. First of all the Marche region, which we immediately turned to, even before proposing our candidacy to the national team. A dutiful thank you therefore goes to the great work of the agriculture councilor Andrea Maria Antonini and also to all the municipalities involved, to the Marchigiano Institute for the Protection of Wines, to the Consorzio Vini Piceni and to all the private sponsors who believe in us: the support received it is of fundamental importance – he states Daniela Sorana, Marche delegate of the Women of Wine – Thanks are also addressed to the deputy delegates Nazzarena Ceci and Stefania Palazzesi and to the entire group of associates from the Marche region. I am enthusiastic about the strong participation of the Italian Women of Wine, over 90 from outside the region, who will be with us, Women of Wine of the Marche, in a 5-day full immersion. Many places to visit, many comparisons, many ideas and many positive influences. Each of us will return enriched with something. I also expect that the conference on Saturday 22 June in Pesaro will generate many stimuli for our region, a region that we all love very much and which truly has a lot to offer. “Let yourself be involved by the Women of Wine of the Marche”: this will be the motto with which we will welcome our guests!».
