The stalemate phase continues at Pescara. The story, now quite annoying, risks compromising next season: starting late, after Pescara ended their season a month ago, could be a handicap while the other teams are already making the most important choices (coach and players). President Daniele Sebastiani is totally absorbed in the activity of defining the corporate structure, between the entry of Rosettano Navarra (there is a slowdown phase, with the entrepreneur from Ferentino who was busy working until 5pm yesterday and who will soon meet the number 1 of the Pescara house to try to find the definitive solution), the possible entry of other members with small percentages and the contacts, never interrupted and maintained by a firm of professionals in Milan, with foreign groups (one German and one American) interested in acquiring the entire share package by the end of the calendar year. Rete 8 confirmed what we anticipated in recent days: “The entrance to Rosettano Navarra seemed very close and, instead, in the last few hours there has been a slowdown. There would be a lack of total agreement between the parties. Agreement which, according to some rumours, seems to also concern the sports area. Navarra would like to bring with him one of his trusted men, the former Biancazzurro Vittorio Cozzella or the current General Director of Pontedera Piero Ducci who, however, still has a year left on his contract with the Tuscan club”, as reported by the TV station based in Chieti Scalo. According to what PS24 gathered through sources close to the former Ascoli and Milan manager, it would seem that he is oriented towards honoring the existing contract which binds him to the Granata association for another season. The entrepreneur from Ferentino would wait for a proposal between Thursday and Friday from Sebastiani on the methods of entry into the club and the percentages to be purchased, only then will he make a decision on what to do. At the moment, therefore, everything is still open: there is substantial parity regarding the chances that the negotiation will succeed, just as it remains possible that everything will fail. We also understand that a meeting (at this point decisive) between Sebastiani and Navarra is scheduled for the weekend. The choice of the coach and then the market moves will be a direct consequence of what will happen very soon in the club with the size of the forecast budget for 2024-25 which will determine the action plan. The Tesser track is the most expensive one, because it imposes on the club a two-year contract worth almost 150 thousand euros, excluding staff (the historic deputy Mark Strukelj, who remains in Trieste as head of the technical area of the youth sector, will not be there), and the set-up of an important team. On Massimo Brambilla, a very welcome name because it would combine the ambitions of an avant-garde championship with the need to enhance its player pool, already tested by Catanzaro and Cosenza in Serie B, Foggia made an inroads with very convincing arguments and today it is further away. This is why the name of Francesco Baldini, the first person probed in May, should not be overlooked at all. If the budget allocated was not high, then we would move on to other profiles. The first is Vincenzo Cangelosi, who will not remain in Caserta and would guarantee the continuation of the Zemanian approach having been his faithful squire for 30 years, the second is Ledian Memushaj, who would continue the tradition of coaches launched in football that counts by the Dauphin, and the third is Luciano Zauri, fresh from a triumphant season in Malta where he won the Scudetto and Super Cup at the helm of the Hamrun Spartans. It would be a return for him, after the experience in Serie B which ended with his resignation in January 2020 and the final appendix of the first year of Serie C in place of the sacked Gaetano Auteri.
