Manfredonia deserves attention
Please try to put yourself in the shoes of us voters.
You are wasting time and resources on issues that do not concern the future of the city.
We note how, in these last days of the electoral campaign, the tones are becoming increasingly more heated. We are witnessing a succession of instrumental attacks between the teams of the two mayoral candidates in the run-off.
We appeal to all candidates and representatives of local parties and movements to bring the debate back to a level of respect and civility. The continuous clashes do nothing but fuel that segment of the population that is disinterested in politics, causing great damage to democracy. Elections must be a moment of constructive discussion, not an occasion for divisions and clashes.
Rather, we are interested in understanding what concrete actions will be put in place to try to resolve the complex situation of the sectors which is increasingly worrying the residents of that area. Or again, we want to understand what specific interventions are intended to be implemented to combat tax evasion and illegal activity. And again, given that there has been a lot of talk about young people: what concrete and measurable actions do we want to implement to slow down the exodus of our young people and provide them with greater job opportunities?
We hope that in these last days of the electoral campaign we will talk about this again. We invite everyone to focus on projects, ideas and solutions to the problems of our beloved Manfredonia.
Only through serene and respectful dialogue can we build a better future for our city.
