Teramo, to defend their sister from her violent ex, they end up on trial: all acquitted

She wanted to defend her sister who had been persecuted by her ex and beaten and for this reason she too, together with her partner, began to send a series of messages on WhatsApp to warn the man (already convicted in the first instance for stalking, injuries and private violence) that if he dared to approach her again, would make him remember the day he was born.

But in the end both sisters, two from Teramo aged 63 and 52, and the latter’s partner, a 38 year old, also ended up on trial accused of persecutory acts. The ex-boyfriend of the 63-year-old who was instead accused in the other criminal case (the appeal is currently pending) is appearing as a civil party.
Yesterday, before judge Marco D’Antoni, the three were all acquitted because the fact did not exist even if at the end of the indictment the prosecutor Stefania Mangia had asked for the conviction only for the sister who in the past had also been a victim of stalking. This is an affair that is now dated in time and dates back, in fact, to a period between September 2016 and April 2017, with the request for indictment in 2021. According to the prosecution, the offended party received a large quantity of messages sent both by his ex and by his sister telling him: «It’s a warning. Stay away from her.” To which, then, the 38-year-old’s voice messages would also have been added: «See you soon. I know where you live. I know everything. I’ll come and get you home. The only thing you can do is disappear or hide.” And so, when the man found himself on the other side, being the alleged victim, he reported being scared and fearing for his own safety, also claiming that he had had to alter his lifestyle habits following those behaviors. .
