The long-awaited offer for the acquisition of Perugia Calcio is on its way

The echo of the recent television appearance which revealed the current state of the negotiations for the acquisition of Perugia Calcio has not yet died down. The group led by Claudio Sciurpa is at the center of attention, with Sciurpa himself spending hours live on Umbria TV’s “Fuori Campo” to reiterate his group’s willingness to purchase the club.

Sciurpa’s group, which also includes the brothers Antonini and Mauro Ricci, expressed their desire to present a new proposal “closer to the requests”, despite Santopadre’s request having tripled after the cancellation. The offer, which Sciurpa also confirmed yesterday, could only arrive this morning.

However, writes Antonello Ferroni of Il Messaggero, Sciurpa’s television appearance was interpreted by Santopadre as an attempt to exert pressure, with the result of seeing the president even more determined in his positions of waiting for his Court counterpart.

Fabio Dominici, the lawyer appointed by Perugia in the negotiation with the Revenue Agency for the write-off of the debt, provided a live cross-examination. He underlined the wait for the Court’s ruling and also expressed reasonable confidence in the timing.

Dominici also highlighted the need for absolute clarity and transparency on the names of the subjects involved in the operation, an essential condition for any negotiation. He underlined that without this clarity, there are no conditions to do anything.

Among the points to be clarified, according to Dominici, there is the presence of two unidentified characters who Sciurpa defined as “simple consultants” during the meeting on May 20th. Dominici underlined the importance of maximum transparency in all operations of this type.

Sciurpa, for his part, gave his reassurances: “When the time comes and if we find an agreement, there will be maximum transparency on who buys. If you don’t like them, you will give up the sale. We didn’t ask to buy in installments.”

While the wait continues, the Perugia football community remains awaiting further developments.
