POZZUOLI – We receive and publish: «I simply wanted to thank the authorities for having intervened promptly on the issue of escape routes in via Vallone Mandria, Piazzale della Vittoria, I am referring to the previous article sent by me and published by you, this one before the episode of 20 May. Despite the tragic episode, where some residents had to quickly flee with the intervention of their children who promptly arrived on site and who had to take that famous road known as the “Lopez descent” to save their loved ones, with the risk of hitting the cornices and rubble of the adjacent buildings on the head. With this, in the previous article, the authorities were invited to open the level crossing, temporarily creating an escape route. Unfortunately, this small measure was not heeded, evidently our authorities are too busy with much more important problems that we cannot understand, until something like “rigo piano” happens… where those responsible will then be called to clarify the various responsibilities of the case. I conclude, also taking into account that the dead person has not yet escaped, to take this simple transitional measure, opening the level crossing as an escape route before the irreparable can happen.
