Viterbo – We receive and publish – Four intense days for the kids from Zucchero Filato Pianoscarano and their families, those just spent in the Sicilian capital.
Invited by the Vivi Sano Sport association of Palermo, to participate in the “Parco dei Suoni” Festival they were able to deal with a different reality and thus test the progress achieved so far.
The event magnificently organized by the president of the Palermo association Giliberti saw the boys from Viterbo win the 5-a-side football tournament, but above all, being a multidisciplinary festival, it gave them the opportunity to try new sports disciplines, including shooting archery, takewondo athletics and fencing with the instructor Marcella Li Brizzi, multiple Italian champion in the saber discipline.
The festival was attended as a guest by Fiammetta Borsellino, daughter of the magistrate killed by the mafia in 1992, who complimented the president of the Zucchero Filato association for the work he is carrying out.
Having left Rome on Thursday, the boys were guests of the Sicily Region assembly on the same day and were able to visit the Palatine Chapel and the Norman Palace in an exclusive way.
In the four Sicilian days there was also a day of sea, sun and fun at the “L’ombelico del mondo” establishment in Mondello, guests of Ninni Gambino, who, being a paraplegic, structured his establishment by breaking down any architectural barrier, thus giving the possibility for everyone to access the sea.
The trip ended on Sunday with a visit to the heart of the city of Palermo with lunch at the Ballarò market and a late evening return to Viterbo.
