Fire drill at the Bishop’s Palace on Wednesday

Codigoro. The Municipality of Codigoro reminds citizens that on Wednesday 19 June, at 9 am, at the Bishop’s Palace, home of the “Giorgio Bassani” municipal library, a fire drill will take place, with the aim of testing the operational readiness and efficiency of the apparatus organizational, potentially affected by real and similar situations.

The exercise, mandatory by law twice a year, will involve all employees of the municipal library, municipal technicians and workers, Auser volunteers, cleaners and readers present. In this regard, they point out that citizens in possession of a reservation with the “Punto Digitale Facile” desk, recently established in the Bishop’s Palace and operational on Wednesdays from 8.30am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 6pm, will be contacted individually.

During the building evacuation simulation, the alarm will go off (siren) and the emergency vehicles will intervene (ambulance and 118 medical vehicle, fire brigade and law enforcement). Communication is necessary, in order to avoid fear and unfounded worries for residents or drivers of vehicles in transit.

Volunteers from the Civil Protection associations (Civil Protection Unit of the National Carabinieri Association of Alto Ferrarese), Volano Borgo Antico and Pronto will collaborate together with the Fire Brigade, 118 and the Municipality of Codigoro. From 9am onwards and until the end of the exercise, library staff will be exempt from carrying out any ordinary activity and will be able to make telephone calls or receive calls only with the authorization of the coordinators of the exercise itself.
