One more case of workplace accident; this time the victim is a 30-year-old worker, who lost an arm after being trapped in a machine. The Latina Public Prosecutor’s Office is now investigating the matter.
The accident
According to what has been reported so far, the protagonist of this terrible story is a 30 year old Indian, employed as a worker at an agricultural company, located near Borgo Santa Maria. The episode occurred during the afternoon today, Monday 17 June, between 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm. The man would have been trapped near a machine he was using during work. The machine would have torn off his arm, managing to tear his legs as well. According to what was reported by the trade unions, the man was not rescued, but rather abandoned to himself, in front of his home. At that point the alarm was raised. The 30-year-old was then rushed to a hospital of Rome via air ambulance. Unfortunately, following the accident, the 30-year-old lost his arm and suffered numerous injuries.
The unions’ complaint
