CATANIA – The Catania police arrested a 25-year-old Maghrebi man convicted of resistance, violence, threats and injuries to a public official in Piazza Turi Ferro, where they intervened after having received, from some people present, a report of two foreigners intent on throwing objects into direction of passing and parked cars. Once the officers arrived on site they verified that one of the two had already left. The other, however, immediately went into a rage as soon as he identified the presence of the police.

The man was stopped and on the way to the police station he became angry again, even hitting the company car with his head. Even in the police offices, the 25-year-old continued to maintain an aggressive attitude, even kicking the officers who, following their injuries, were subsequently entrusted to the care of the emergency room doctors. With difficulty, the man was identified as a 25-year-old Maghrebi with a criminal record, homeless and illegal on the national territory.

Once the identification operations were completed, the foreigner was accompanied to the police offices for further formalities, but this time too, during the journey, he went into a rage again inside the service car, attempting to damage it and forcing the police To bring him back to calm, use the stinging spray supplied. The 25-year-old was arrested and taken to prison.
