The investigations into the murder of Pierina Paganelli continue, after the turning point that came with the registration of Louis Dassilva, the 35-year-old of Senegalese origin who had started a relationship with the victim’s daughter-in-law Manuela Bianchi. On the morning of Monday 17 June, accompanied by her parents, Giuliano Saponi and Manuela Bianchi herself, she was interviewed at the police station in Rimini the victim’s 16-year-old niece.
The murder of Pierina Paganelli and the investigations
The husband of Manuela Bianchi’s cousin, who was very close to the family in the days when, was also summoned and listened to Giuliano Saponi, son of Pierina Paganellihad been hospitalized after a serious and mysterious accident that occurred on May 7, when he was hit by a hit-and-run driverfive months before the crime of his seventy-eight-year-old mother.
A couple of the victim’s neighbors were summoned

Investigated Louis Dassilva: action due for investigations
The reason why Louis Dassilva was investigated it is now clear. It was an act due to the need to carry out investigations on the DNA samples taken from the 35-year-old which will have to be compared with those taken from some objects, such as a scalpel and a knife wrapped in a napkin, as well as the victim’s clothes.
The mysterious crime and all the enigmas of the case
After the request of the defense – the lawyer Riario Fabbri who makes use of the collaboration of the well-known consultant Roberta Bruzzone – these investigations will be carried out in the form of an evidentiary hearing. Under the spotlight of the investigators is the extramarital relationship started by Louis and Manuela, at the center of family tensions with Pierina Paganelli, very close to her children, including Giuliano Saponi, Manuela’s husband, who would have been discharged from hospital a few days after the crime and for whose return his mother was organizing a party.
Events related to Jehovah’s Witnesses
Manuela Bianchi would have been judged instead the day after the murder, for his report to the outside of marriageby a group of wise gods Jehovah’s Witnesses, the church to which both she and Pierina, Giuliano and many other family members had joined. The picture, however, is not complete: as mentioned, the investigators are also focusing on other elements which made it necessary to also interview the victim’s sixteen-year-old niece.
Loris Bianchi, Manuela’s brother, and his role
The young woman had already been interviewed at the police station. In fact, the role of is also considered important Loris Bianchi, Manuela’s brother, who lives in Riccione but who on the evening of the crime, 3 October last year, was having dinner with his sister and niece. From a first story reported by the young woman to the investigators, it emerged that Loris Bianchi had left the house shortly after at 10.10 pm and then returned a few minutes later.
The long police investigation
It is not a random time, but the same as the crime, which occurred precisely at 10.10 pm as shown by the recordings – audio only – of a security camera installed in a garage in the basement of the condominium where the victim lived, a few steps from the exact point where she was stabbed. From the audio track cries of pain are heard of the old woman fatally shot with 27 blows. At a later time, when interviewed by the investigators, the girl denied that her uncle had left the house.
The victim’s sixteen-year-old niece was interviewed
It is probable that during this morning’s interview the prosecutor Paci and the flying squad have reviewed the events of that evening and in particular Uncle Loris’ conduct during and after dinner. About those facts they had been smartphones were also seized for some checks on the messages that she and her mother Manuela had exchanged. As for the need to listen to the couple of neighbors on the lower floor, it must be said that both had rushed into the basement when Manuela Bianchi had reported having found the body October, near the basement of the condominium in via del Ciclamino in Rimini where he lived.
