GATTEO A MARE – The Pordenone Amatori C5 continues to reap titles. After having sealed the season with victories in the CSI championship (for the fourth consecutive year) and the Aics championship, the city’s standard bearers also won the Aics Italian Cup, thus repeating last year’s success obtained in Cervia. The terrible “young” boys of mister Alessandro Piccin and the eternal captain Roberto Zilli continue their rise of success without brakes. With the 2023-24 Aics Italian Cup obtained at the “Dei pini” stadium in Cervia Sports Center in Gatteo a Mare, the neroverdi reach 31 victories obtained on the field at regional and national level. If we also consider the 21 titles obtained in the women’s section, the club currently has a list of 52 trophies and a unique history that began way back in 2005 and which always sees it as a protagonist in amateur tournaments in Friuli Venezia Giulia and the national territory. Returning to the national finals of the federation, the Pordenone Amatori C5 branded “Punta Gabbiani” did not take the event lightly. To honor the commitment, the club wanted to join forces with its cousins Naonis Futsal, a Serie B 5-a-side football team, involving its coach Giuseppe Criscuolo in the Romagna adventure. Not only that, the team took the nickname Punta Gabbiani, the name of the restaurant managed by the technician of Neapolitan origins and to raise the quality level of the rooster it was strengthened with the loans of Sebastiano Piccin and Luciano Pizzella.
An excellent test match in view and in preparation for the CSI national finals which this year will take place in Venice from 10 to 14 July and where Pordenone Amatori Calcio a 5 will once again represent Friuli Venezia Giulia. A clear path for Gatteo a Mare, certified by the victory in the final (4-1) against the Sicilian side Billona Comiso C5 obtained thanks to goals from De Luca (a brace), Pizzella and Vettorel. Previously the Pordenone team had come across the Marche team Stella del Mar of Ascoli Piceno (3-2 with a brace from Vettorel and a goal from Ferraro), in their only defeat (6-5) against Nd transporti from La Spezia (3 times De Luca, Vettorel and Ferraro), in the clear 6-1 victory against Pentiti Varese (triple Pizzella, double Piccin and Zanette), up to the semi-final against BirraReal Pisa which saw Pordenone spread 14-1 with Vettorel (5) , Pizzella (3), Zanette (3), Piccin (2) and De Luca. Another important success for the prestige of this company which now has a total of 52 titles on its board.
