International Sushi Day, June 18th is also celebrated in Rome

International Sushi Day, on June 18th, we celebrate in Rome with the rools of chef Yuri Zhou, Japanese with a Roman accent, who offers the new style crunchy maki, an iconic dish of his Sushi and Noodles cuisine, for tasting on this day.

Almond-eyed cuisine is booming, but there is also a great culture and interest in this type of food that fascinates young people and winks at pizza due to the numbers recorded by the Delivero services every day. There are even those who can distinguish the region of origin of some dishes. Teenagers are fascinated by it and some of them even try to replicate the sophisticated, colorful and compact rolls at home but with poor results in terms of shape and composition.

Sushi Day dishes are an expression of tradition and creativity, and also of manual skill for the three-dimensional geometric shapes that the morsels have on the plate. A perfect balance between beauty and combination of flavors, sweetness, flavor and sweet and sour all in one bite. Chef Yuri Zhou, an expert in Japanese, Chinese and fusion cuisine, explains that «the goal is to offer quality food with never banal proposals and without necessarily having to spend a fortune. On the occasion of International Sushi Day I wanted to offer a dish that is a highly requested best seller among our proposals: the new style crunchy maki”.

The new style crunchy maki it is a roll based on salmon tartare (coming from selected suppliers in Norway and certified with great respect for the environment) with philadelphia and avocado wrapped in a very thin sheet of kataifi pastry, each roll is garnished with teriyaki sauce and spicy mayo. Elegant and beautiful to look at but also of quality.
