New electoral appointment for Bari: on Sunday 23 and Monday 24 June 2024, citizens are called to the polls again for the run-off that will decide the new mayor. Vito Leccese (centre-left) and Fabio Saverio Romito (centre-right) challenge each other. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 11pm on Sunday 23 June and from 7am to 3pm on Monday 24 June. The counting of ballots will begin immediately after the polls close (ALL ADMINISTRATIVE RESULTS).

How it went in Bari in the first round

In the first round of the municipal elections Vito Leccese, supported by a coalition composed of the Democratic Party and other civic lists, obtained 48.02% of the votes, followed by Fabio Saverio Romito, candidate of all the centre-right parties, who instead obtained 29.12% of the votes. In the regional capital of Puglia there were 5 mayoral candidates in the local elections to succeed the outgoing mayor Antonio Decaro. In third place was Michele Laforgia, supported by the 5 Star Movement, the Italian Communist Party and other civic lists, who obtained 21.75% of the votes. Closing out are Nicola Sciacovelli, with the support of Sciacovelli Sindaco – Ci Piace!, Noi Per Bari – Italexit Per L’Italia, who obtained 0.76% of the votes, and Sabino Mangano, candidate from Oltre – Movimenti Civici Associati , which obtained 0.34% of the votes.
