Saturday 22 June, at Reggio Calabriathe first edition of Musicityan initiative created to present the research and documentation work linked to the experience of Mu.Stru.Mu. (Musical Instrument Museum) proposed as a choral activity of teaching in multimedia teaching at theAcademy of Fine Arts of Reggio Calabriafor the academic year 2023/2024, by the school of Art communication and teaching in collaboration with the schools of Painting And New Art Technologies.
The morning initiative, in concert with the “Francesco Cilea” Conservatory of Music of Reggio Calabria, is entitled Musicity and includes musical sets along Corso Garibaldi performed byHyle Saxophone Quartet framed by the pictorial/performative intervention Canvas on shoulder (walking while painting, painting while walking) by the Painting students of the Academy supervised by the prof. Davide Mancini Zanchi.
It all opens at 10.30 am, in front of the Church of San Giorgio al Corso; next stop at the stairs of the “Cilea” theater at 11.30 followed, an hour later, by the last performance of the morning, near the Mu.Stru.Mu. where at 6 pm, the initiative continues with voices, viewers and games.
The afternoon activity revolves around the symbolic reopening of the museum (closed since 2013, following an arson attack) through a virtual exhibition on the Artsteps platform – The dream of Mu.Stru.mu.the presentation of a dedicated video game – The Rhythm of Mu.Stru.Mulistening to a podcast – The voice of the instruments, created by students attending the multimedia teaching course led by prof. Antonio Mastrogiacomo.
At the end of the day, a jam session will be held. As for the dream of Mu.Stru.Mu., the exhibition layout is curated by Noemi Di Maio, Laura Liconti, Shadi Taheriwhile the Rhythm of Mu.Stru.Mu, video game by Maria Concetta Forgione, Marica Giustra And Paolo Zampaglionewith the collaboration of Gabriel And Giuliano Gambacorta and the supervision of prof. Giacomo Tufano.
The voice of the instruments, a podcast on the COLLECTION, is followed by Dario Zema, with the participation of Demetrio Spagna. TelAEInSpalla (walking by painting/painting by walking) instead sees the participation of Mary Guarnera, Adriana Cosenza, Ferdinando Paviglianiti, Francesca Azzarà, Davide Scagliola, Asia Schipilliti, Federica Mazzeo, Giada Modafferri, Cris Skyler Arnese, Miryam Pepe, Andrea Albanese, Demetrio Spagna , Claudia Muscolino, Lilli Romano, Martina Bruzzese and Giorgia Foti. We remind you that Musicittà is an initiative organized by the Academy of Fine Arts of Reggio Calabria in collaboration with the “Francesco Cilea” Conservatory of Reggio Calabria in support of the Mu.Stru.Mu. (Musical Instrument Museum).
