The publication, created in collaboration with ANCI Piemonte, together with IFEL-ANCI Foundation, illustrates the main territorial, institutional, economic-financial and socio-demographic characteristics of the Piedmontese municipalitiesthrough maps and tables divided by province and demographic size class, with a focus dedicated to the small municipalities of the region.
The hope is to be able to offer to administrators And public employees one working tool which can be useful to consciously face the present and plan the challenges of the future.
What it’s about
The volume “The Municipalities of Piedmont 2024” illustrates the main territorial, institutional, economic-financial and socio-demographic characteristics of the Piedmontese municipalities, using the most official data as primary sources
recent and available for each area of investigation.
The survey unit is the single municipality, whose data and derived indicators were analyzed at provincial and demographic class level, with particular attention to the small municipalities of the region. The analysis of each phenomenon is also enriched by a cartographic description of the indicators most representable in terms of georeferencing.
The objectives
The objective is to provide an agile working tool to those – politicians, administrators, scholars of territorial phenomena – who question the characteristics and changes taking place in the Piedmontese municipalities. A constantly evolving universe that firmly represents the unifying element in which citizens find themselves, the place where they live their daily lives, the closest institution to which they turn for an answer to their needs, difficulties and desire for participation .
With this publication IFEL provides a knowledge and research tool, profileable for individual territorial areas, aimed at supporting the regional ANCIs in their daily work of supporting the municipalities.
