Karli Allik arrives in Cuneo in place four
The Estonian spiker, with 100 games under his belt for his national team, made his debut in the Italian A2 championship in Santa Croce last season.
Cuneo inaugurates the spiker department with the officialization of Karli AllikEstonian athlete born in ’96 arriving from Santa Croce sull’Arno, where last year he made his debut in the Italian Serie A2 championship. He has played a good one hundred games with his national team, the latest being those played in the European Golden League 2024.
« I think it’s a step forward in my career to play for Cuneo, I loved the Palazzetto dello Sport and also the Cuneo fans. I enjoyed playing and living in Italy, I would like to master the Italian language».
Karli, what struck you about Italy?
« Food of course! I also really like Italian culture, it somehow matches my character».
What do you expect from the next A2 season?
« I am a very optimistic person, so I always try to give my best and get the best results with my team».
Have you already had the opportunity to speak with coach Battocchio? Is there a personal goal you will pursue?
« Yes, Battocchio called me, telling me about the summer programs and giving me some information about the team. One of my personal goals is to become the best hitter in A2».
Is there anything you would like to say to the public and supporters of Cuneo?
« I wish everyone a fantastic summer and I look forward to seeing you all at the gym for the first and subsequent training sessions. See you!».
