The website of the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze, in addition to being in English and Italian, will be available in four other languages: French, German, Spanish and simplified Chinese (Mandarin).

The Museum preserves a very precious and unique heritage: from the most important and numerous collection of Michelangelo’s sculptures, with the monumental Prisonsthe Palestrina Piety and the highly celebrated David, to the nineteenth-century plaster casts by Lorenzo Bartolini in the plaster cast gallery; from the gold funds of the thirteenth century to the Florentine painting of the sixteenth century, together with the Department of ancient musical instruments with fifty specimens from the collections of the Tuscan grand ducal families of the Medici and Lorraine, including true rarities such as, among others, the tenor viola and the cello built by Antonio Stradivari.

The web portal of the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence focuses on individual works and offers a wide range of digital content.

There are virtual reality visits, documentary miniseries, podcasts, educational formats, artistic videos, intended for a transversal audience, designed for different types of users, from the smallest to the largest, in line with the projects promoted by the MiC – Ministry of Culture. All the events organized within the Gallery have been documented and can be seen on ACCADEMIA ON LINE, the digital channel which is always enriched with new video projects, which involve multidisciplinary skills.
