Sanremo. “Volunteering is a great resource that must be supported by all means, and without the involvement of city associations little progress will be made.” Words of Gianni Rolando, candidate for mayor of the Centre-right, who relaunches the issue on the topic: «As foreseen in my electoral programme, we will establish the new Council of Associations. In fact, I believe it is essential – says Rolando – that the new administration deals with the Consulta, the body provided for by the municipal statute, which involves the entities that operate in different sectors, given that the outgoing administration has not involved or called meetings for over 5 years with associations. It is very serious in my opinion, because the associations, in addition to representing an important part of the city, can be protagonists with regards to the organization and scheduling of events and manifestations that attract people to the city”.
«I am also thinking – adds Rolando – of the creation of a real Register of Volunteers because shared planning is necessary and dialogue is needed, fundamental elements to keep Sanremo alive all year round. Furthermore, as happened in the past, initiatives can be organized and promoted in synergy between the various entities. I conclude by thanking all the people of Sanremo who make their time available, in full spirit of service, dedicating it to the activities of the very important third sector”.
