Strengthen the complex emergency-urgency structures of the provincial health authorities and the regional health service hospitalse: this is the main objective of the public notice for the awarding of self-employment assignments aimed at medical specialists published today by Company Zero and shared with the Health and Welfare Department of the Calabria Region.
The governance body, led by the extraordinary commissioner Gandolfo Miserendino, strongly supported by the president of the Region and ad acta commissioner for health, Roberto Occhiuto, has decided to promote an action to strengthen the emergency-urgency network by giving the opportunity to young medical specialistsin line with their professionalizing activity, to be able to put into practice the skills acquired during their training course.
The tender provides for the division of the regional territory into three macro-areas: the first concerns the northern area of Calabria, i.e. the area falling within the province of Cosenza; the second refers to the entire central area, grouping the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone and Vibo Valentia; the third refers to the southern area, i.e. the area that falls within the territory of the province of Reggio Calabria.
Following participation in the expression of interest, which we hope will be such as to be able to respond to the needs expressed by the regional health service companies, the rankings by area will be drawn up which the ASPs and AOs will be able to draw on to contract the professionals according to your needs.
The companies will proceed with the assignment of freelance professional positions, following the current regulatory provisions.
“We wanted to implement this action because we are aware of the priority of strengthening the emergency-urgency network in Calabria,” declared the president of the Region and ad acta commissioner for health, Roberto Occhiuto.
“In Calabria we are at the gates of the summer season and one of our objectives is to try to decongest the emergency rooms. The trainees will mainly deal with patients who, following the current triage rules, will be classified with the less serious codes. This will provide initial and as immediate assistance as possible to citizens, and a breath of fresh air to the emergency rooms of our hospitals and to the entire regional territorial network”.
