A new sports Center for football in Ravenna. It will arise in San Giuseppe neighborhood and the goal is what it can become the home of Ravenna’s youth sectorso much so that the new ownership is already talking about it with parents during the various meetings that are taking place in recent days in view of the next season.
This is a project on which “the Municipality is working hard” – we are told by the Administration – which essentially involves converting that of the new municipal swimming pool initially planned at the former Anic village as part of a public-private agreement. New swimming pool which is now no longer necessary, having decided to redevelop the existing one. The 4 million euro investment envisaged as public compensation for new urban developments, therefore, would be directed towards building the new sports centre, with four football pitches, two of which are synthetic, changing rooms and probably also a public establishment. A sports center of excellence which the Municipality would then put up for tender and which it is easy to foresee could only live up, in the area, to the ambitions of the new ownership of Ravenna, which has just announced its intention to aim for the highest levels of Italian football , also investing in the youth sector, which in the city has (almost) never managed to reach a level of true professionalism.
It is difficult to predict the timing, as the project still needs to be built from an administrative point of view. But the intention of all parties involved is to move quickly.
