Monte Cerignone is at the heart of culture also for having been the chosen home of Umberto Eco who left a large footprint on the entire community. «The ancient Mons Cerignonis is the beating heart of Montefeltro, thanks to its centuries-old history which saw it as the residence of the Podestà and the ancient seat of the Feretrano Court – underlined the mayor Davide Giorgio Giorgini – there are many points of interest, over which it dominates the Rocca, recently home to the Mochi Photographic Museum: we thank the Municipality of Pesaro which took advantage of its proclamation as Capital of Culture also to turn the spotlight on all the towns of the province, giving a notable boost to the hinterland, making its treasures known and encouraging us to network with local associations, as in our case “Il Giardino di Simone”, and our commercial and catering entities”. Three exhibitions are planned, Animalia: the bestiary of women, with works by Christina Eickhoffm, Simona Foglia and Yvette Vandenmweghe and “The faces, the landscapes, the traditions of Monte Cerignone at the Rocca Feretrana and the Giovanni Mochi Museum, and “Visioni Sconfinanti” to Santa Caterina; among the artists, Luciana Baldacci, Giulio Ceccaroni and Antonio Giusti.
