The policemen of the Padua Police Headquarters arrested a couple of people with no criminal record who were caught in a car with about a gram of Cocaine.

He, 23, she, 27, both with no criminal record, were checked by agents of the Paduan Flying Squad late in the evening in Campodarsego (Pd), in an area where residents had reported for weeks some suspicious cars making short stops and then leaving at high speed. . The existence of a possible drug dealing activity was evident to the officers. It was the couple’s car that was identified as suspicious.

Perhaps because he has no criminal record or perhaps because he is too sure of himself, or rather because he cannot come across a police check on an artery that actually connects the hamlet of Sant’Andrea di Campodarsego with the regional road, the young man thought it best to hide the drug on the seat, deeming it sufficient to sit on it. But when they checked him, his unjustified nervousness led the officers to ask him to get out of the car. At that moment the police easily noticed that on the seat occupied by him there were two wrappers containing approximately 10 grams of Cocaine. At that point the check was also extended to the car and the female passenger, the young man’s live-in companion. The latter, either out of empathy or simply because she was asked to declare whether she was also in possession of narcotic substances, immediately admitted that she too possessed them. She proceeded to extract another twenty doses of cocaine from her bra, approximately 27 grams, wrapped in a handkerchief. She also had with her the sum of 1,080 euros in cash divided into various banknotes. Having ascertained the involvement of both in a now more than probable drug dealing activity, the police also extended the search to their home, located in Scorzè, in the province of Venice. Inside the couple’s house, another 55 grams of Cocaine, three precision scales, numerous disposable cellophane gloves, but above all a notebook with names and numbers written down next to them, indicative of the drug dealing activity managed by the couple, were seized.

The two were arrested and, on the orders of the PM on duty of the Padua Public Prosecutor’s Office, detained in the security rooms of the Police Headquarters awaiting validation and the very direct judgement, which already took place yesterday, at the end of which the hearing the judge imposed on both punishable by 10 months and 20 days of imprisonment and a fine of 800 euros.
