«In reference to the article published in your newspaper dated yesterday 13.6.24b, signed by Facebook entitled “Reset”, Colasuonno speaks: «I have multiple sclerosis, I was on hunger and thirst strike» the following is specified , kindly requesting the publication of the following text: “as head of the District Penitentiary Medicine Branch of the ASP of Catanzaro, I must formalize a clear distancing from the content of the article which reported some statements, not corresponding to the truth, of the detained Mr. Colasuonno during the hearing relating to the “Reset” criminal proceeding held in the Bunker Hall in Lamezia Terme on 06.13.24, relating to an alleged lack of health care for him and to threats that we health workers would have received perpetrated against him. This is in order to protect the writer and all my collaborators, who continue to work seriously, tirelessly, in silence, with specific competence and without resorting to media coverage. The Health Authority, due to the Public Function it carries out, can never be the subject of this type of false accusation by anyone, and therefore I reserve the right to immediately activate the appropriate judicial initiatives, both in the specific case and in all those situations that now – for some time – have continually undermined the serenity of professionals who still believe in such a difficult institutional task.”
