Stolen Cars and Hidden Weapons in a Private Garden

A 43-year-old man has been charged after police found stolen cars and an illegal arsenal during a search of his villa.

A routine check turned into a surprising discovery for the police in Piazza Dante a Cataniawhere a 43-year-old man of Indian origin was reported for money laundering and illegal possession of weapons.

The search, which began with a check in the garden of the man’s villa, revealed the carcass of a white Fiat Panda, clearly visible among the vegetation.

The inspection of the vehicle led to the discovery of the license plates corresponding not only to that car, but also to another small car, both of which were recently stolen from residents of Catania.

But that is not all. Continuing the investigation, the police extended the search inside the house and to the garage.

It was in the latter that they discovered a large box containing a 9 caliber rifle with visible serial number, accompanied by 35 bullets of the same caliber and 15 38 caliber bullets. Investigations to trace the origin of the weapon are still underway.
