Accused of abuse of a minor, pensioner over eighty acquitted

A pensioner aged over eighty accused of having taken a minor into the basement of an old tower on the Nure and of having abused him was acquitted: “because the fact does not exist”. The judges of the judging panel established this. The prosecutor, not at all convinced of the innocence of the accused who was present in the courtroom, had instead asked for a 5-year sentence. The accused was an 83 year old pensioner from Piacenza, the victim was a minor, also from Piacenza. The trial took place a few days ago, behind closed doors. The accused had always declared himself innocent and the defense lawyer had asked for his acquittal. The civil lawyers had requested 100 thousand euros in compensation and 50 thousand euros in compensation.

THE FACTS

The events occurred in July 2018. According to what was reconstructed in the courtroom, the pensioner and the minor had seen each other in a bar in the Val Nure area and the boy had asked the elderly man for a lift in the car. The two had traveled towards Piacenza, but at a certain point the elderly man – according to the accusation – threatened the young man with a knife, forcing him to follow him into the basement of an old tower located near the Nure, a place usually frequented by smokers of soft drugs.
