Stefano Borghijournalist from DAZNspoke on the podcast of Changing Room Chronicleswhich on the occasion of EURO 2024 took the name of ‘Euro Chronicles‘. The famous journalist spoke about the case Zirkzee and the commissions requested from the Milan by his agent, Kia Joorabchian. These are his words:
“There is talk of a request for commissions of 15 million euros, compared to a payment of 40. Questions of principle in football, as in life, have an important value. There is one thing that has an even more important value than questions of principle in football and in life, namely the rules. The commission that Zirkzee’s attorney asks for is not illegal, the rules allow it. Then we can talk about ethics and I give them great importance, but if we feel so scandalized by this thing we should perhaps intervene on the rules. If Milan, or someone on behalf of Milan, came out to say: “I’m not signing this player because I don’t think it’s right to pay this fee”, they would have all my respect, but it’s very important to underline that what they the Zirkzee representative is asking“.
