“I believe an update on the sale of the shares of ‘Industria Italiana Bus’ is necessary. I decided to support the social partners in requesting the Government to take a step back with respect to the sale to an entrepreneurial group in the province of Caserta considered by the union and the workers to be unsuitable to the type of industrial production of the company”. Thus begins the note signed by Gianfranco Rotondi regarding the affair concerning the Flumeri plant.
“The Government has agreed to interrupt the negotiations to verify a possible offer from another entrepreneurial consortium, whose industrial plan, however, was not considered adequate by the public shareholder. The other institutional actor, the Campania Region, silent and not received, to unlike the Emilia Romagna region, present to protect its territory, where the other branch of the company – the Rotondi lunge – is located. It is not up to a parliamentarian to evaluate industrial plans, nor to judge entrepreneurial consortia, from which I hold myself back usually far away, mindful of the teachings of my teacher Gerardo Bianco. And I think that the government would miss an opportunity by continuing to support an acceleration that surprises us parliamentarians first and foremost invited to the ministerial table, not this time.
