Caltanissetta. The new adventure of “Banda Larga – Funky Cover Big Band” starts again on June 20th from the Berk stage – il Fatto Nisseno

CALTANISSETTA. The new musical adventure led by the volcanic Sandro Giglio, artistic director of successful programs such as MyBand and highly attended events such as “Cantaestate” and “Musicalmuseo” in Caltanissetta, starts again from the Berk stage.

It is called “Banda Larga – Funky Cover Big Band” and from 20 June its frequencies will travel throughout the province to reach, we hope, very far. In addition to Giglio, who we also remember for his very long musical experience as drummer of the funky and rock group “Gatta ci Cova”, there will be 8 members of the new line-up created, declares its leader, to “rediscover the pleasure of playing live” : Aurelio Cerami, refined and excellently talented bassist, Salvatore known as “Totò” Polizzi, a multifaceted keyboard player whose repertoire varies from pop to jazz without interruption, Pietro Ferraro, a non-conformist singer who this time takes on the role of an exceptional percussionist and who in in the past he also played in the “zero equation” formation; and then again Giuseppe Collerone, vigorous guitarist of the band “Desaparacido”, Giovanni La Placa, multi-expert saxophonist.

The voice, an instrument of extraordinary complexity, will be entrusted to Gaia Lipani, a very young singer whose delicate timbre does not lack funky nuances accompanied by the backing singers Martina Staccia, protagonist of numerous performances and lead vocal for many bands and finally the young and very talented Francesco di Giugno , fresh from the television experience of “Tale e Quale Show”. Exceptional curator and vocal coach, Manuel Scarano, music producer of the FM Wave label.

The band’s vast repertoire takes a real journey around the world of music, favoring the 80s and 90s and reaching up to the present day, intertwining pop with funky and scary pocket style. “I don’t know if it will be my last project or if some other idea will come to mind, I can’t sit still – declares Sandro Giglio – music has always represented for me an inspiring muse and the most direct language to express my emotions and sharing dreams, a way to be happy at a time when we really need it!”. Appointment at Berk in Via Borremans 6 in Caltanissetta, on June 20th starting at 9pm.
