Rimini, takes off part of his ear because he didn’t want to give him a cigarette

He asked for a cigarette from a patient – admitted to the ‘Infermi’ hospital in Rimini awaiting surgery – who was going to the bar to have a coffee and when he refused he punched, headbutted and bit him until he broke off part of his ear. The protagonist of the story – which happened on Thursday around 5pm near one of the entrances to the Infermi’ – was a young man arrested by the police on charges of distorting the person’s appearance by causing permanent injuries to the face and taken to prison. The first person to intervene on site was the officer on duty at the hospital police station who had received reports of an attack outside the hospital: there he found, together with the security guards on duty at the hospital, a wounded man, with bloody face and head and partial detachment of his left ear; wounds to the eyebrow of the left eye; abrasions on the head and arm. All this, he said, following the blows he received after refusing to offer the young man a cigarette. When the policeman arrived, the attacker was walking away, as if nothing had happened: stopped also thanks to the arrival of a police car, he was accompanied to the police station and then taken, on the orders of the prosecutor, to the Rimini prison.
