The “angels” of the aspiring giants warm up their engines in view of their fiery September.
Marco Patacchiniorthopedist and great leader of MassageTor (as well as finisher of the race two years ago), has organized a new course.
The appointment is for Saturday 13 July at Courmayeur conference center.
The initiative is valid for the continuing medical education of doctors, nurses and physiotherapists.
A new course for MassaggiaTor on Saturday 13 July in Courmayeur
5 years after the last one, a new course to become is on the launch pad MassageTor.
The initiative will allow you to become part of the large family of masseurs who assist the athletes registered for one of the 5 races of the TORX.
The chosen day is Saturday 13 July, the event will be held at Courmayeur conference center.
The program includes theoretical and practical lessons.
For doctors, nurses and physiotherapists, it will be valid as Continuing Medical Education.
The cost is 20 euros plus VAT (30+VAT for those who need training credits).
The course program to become a MassaggiaTor
The day will be split in two.
The morning will be dedicated to theoretical notions, the afternoon will move on to practice.
The course will begin at 9am with an introduction dedicated to the race and the life bases, where the MassageTor.
Then we will talk about blisters, tibialis anterior syndrome, iliotibial band syndrome and patellofemoral band syndrome.
The focus will then shift to patellar and Achilles tendinopathy, massage, physiotherapy and chiropractic.
The morning will end with the speeches of Dr Andrea Nicolawhich will talk about physiotherapy and sport, and about Marco Valerio Ricciwhich will deal with how to overcome crises at Tor.
In the afternoon, various types of bandages will be tried (blisters, kinesiotape and functional).
