‘If the South grows, Italy will also grow’

The following is the press note with the professor’s statements Ersilia CedroCity Secretary FdI Reggio Calabria.

Cedro declares:

“The commitment that FDI has made to the South continues with incessant perseverance, placing it at the center of administrative action both at a national and European level. In fact, yesterday the EU Commission gave the green light to the extension, which expired at the end of the month, until 31 December 2024 of the measure concerning the Southern decontributionwhich encourages, through a contribution exemption, employee employment relationships for companies based in the Southern regions”.

The FdI Reggio Calabria city secretary explains in the note:

“It is a measure whose objective is to make the South attractive for companies which, given the excellent conditions guaranteed, are incentivized to invest in the South, but it has also allowed and will allow the same companies in the South to grow and participate in the revival of employment. This result obtained by the Italian Government was achieved thanks to a targeted diplomatic action that our Minister for European Affairs Fitto implemented and to the fruitful discussions of the Honorable Wanda Ferro who demonstrated and demonstrates extreme attention to Calabria and the South The decontribution, especially for our companies, aims to protect employment levels and is an obligatory step with which to achieve the reduction of the territorial gap necessary to restore impetus to the entire production system of the South”.

Cedro concludes:

“This is the first step in a process that aims to make this incentive structural, and our party is already working in this direction. We have been and are consistent with our programmatic lines during the electoral campaign without any hesitation. We will continue in our work with renewed commitment and with the awareness that: If the South grows, Italy grows“.
