The facilitators of the Digital Bussola training project of the Marche Region will support Open Fiber in its tour to promote FTTH (Fiber To The Home) fiber optic services. This initiative is part of the work to raise awareness among the citizens of the Marche region on the importance of new technologies and digital knowledge.

The Marche Region has always been committed to supporting the digitalisation of municipalities and promoting social and economic inclusion through access to innovative services and advanced technologies. “Digitalization is a fundamental process for the development of our municipalities and for the economic and social growth of our territory. This is why the Marche Region has decided to support Open Fiber in its tour to promote the ultra-fast connection that reaches up to production buildings and homes. This project represents a unique opportunity for our citizens to access ultra-fast connections and benefit from innovative services that improve their quality of life,” said the Councilor for Digitalisation, Andrea Maria Antonini.

“Our mission is to help citizens understand the value of digital technologies and benefit from them. Our role is that of facilitators, not only technicians, but also educators, to help people overcome digital barriers and become an active part of digital society,” continues Councilor Antonini. “Access to an ultra-fast fiber optic connection is fundamental, but it is equally important that citizens have the necessary skills to fully exploit the potential offered by new technologies. This is why the Digital Compass project is so important: our digital facilitators they will be present in the area to support citizens and accompany them on this digitalisation journey to illustrate the offer of free facilitation services.”

The Open Fiber tour, which will take place in various municipalities in the region, will offer citizens the opportunity to easily activate the FTTH fiber optic service with the support of qualified operators. The initiative involves the parking of a camper in a highly frequented public space, which will be manned by Open Fiber staff as well as by the facilitators of the Digital Compass project.
