The Civil Protection has issued a yellow weather alert for tomorrow, Monday 17 June, due to hydraulic risk in some sectors of the Veneto. But from Tuesday everything changes with the arrival of the anticyclone Minos.

While the rest of Italy prepares to face the beginning of next week marked by the arrival of the African anticyclone, in Veneto there will still be some residue of bad weather. For this reason the Civil Protection has decided to issue a warning alert weather forecast yellow due to hydraulic risk in some sectors of the Region.

According to what was communicated by the Civil Protection on its official website, for tomorrow Monday 17 June a yellow weather alert has been issued for hydraulic risk only in some sectors of the Veneto Region. It’s about Lower Brenta-Bacchiglione And Fratta Gorzone, Adige-Garda And Lessini mountains, Po, Fissero-Tartaro-Canalbianco And South Tyrol, exactly the same ones for which the alert was also issued for today, Sunday 16 June.

According to the weather forecast for tomorrow, Monday 17 June, there will be some clouds Alps And Prealps, with the possibility of isolated afternoon thunderstorms; mostly clear or slightly cloudy in the rest of Italy, with a few temporary clouds mostly in the North-West.

But the real change in meteorological terms will come from Tuesday 18 Junewhen all of Italy will be enveloped by an exceptional African heat wave, with the arrival of what has been renamed the anticyclone Minos, which will bring temperatures above the 40°C threshold. Specifically, the thermometer can reach up to 38 large centigrades in Sicily and Sardinia (with local peaks of up to 41°C, as in Perfugas and Mara in the Sassari area), 36°C in Benevento and Foggia, and for the first time in 2024, even 34°C in Rome, Florence and Frosinone.
