Vintage cars invade the province of Isernia

Vintage cars, those that made Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and many other automotive brands great, passed through Isernia for a day full of passion for this sector and for the tourism promotion of the Molise region .
The first “Historical Passions” gathering today saw the cars that made history in the ’60s and ’70s parade through the city.

An ambitious project, which brought together vintage car enthusiasts from Campania, Lazio, Puglia and Molise, organized by the “Pista Paradiso” Kartodromo of Santa Maria del Molise and strongly supported by the “San Nicandro” Festival Committee of Venafro for the start of the celebrations in the city.


The event was divided into four stages: first appointment in Venafro, with a stop on the central Corso Campano, accompanied by the group of flag-wavers and the musical band in baroque style clothes, with the ribbon cutting by the mayor
Alfredo Ricci; at 11.30 they stopped in Isernia, on Corso Garibaldi where the participants were welcomed Mayor Pietro Castrataro and the president of the Province of Isernia, Daniele Saia together with a large audience of children and families;

at 12.40 the procession moved to Basilica of Castelpetroso for the blessing that was imparted by the rector of the Sanctuary; the arrival at 1.30 pm on the Santa Maria del Molise circuit for lunch and the awarding of four special prizes to the participants.

The circuit will begin at 3pm Santa Maria del Molisewhich is also the only one Aci Sport Federal Technical Center in Molisewhich will host a karting race for children aged 8 to 12 who have obtained their racing license at the Pista Paradiso Federal School.

The event was sponsored by the Municipality of Isernia, the Municipality of Venafro, the province of Isernia and the culture department of the Molise region.
