The Romagna Riviera never disappoints: a catalyst for unique events and a destination for VIPs and institutions. Yes, because many will have wondered whether the Prime Minister has the gift of ubiquity given the incredible “appearance” of Giorgia Meloni at the Rimini Village in Rimini a few evenings ago. But there is an explanation to this conundrum.

While the real Giorgia Meloni was busy at the same time at the G7 in Puglia, as reported byDire agency, the protagonist of the evening in Rimini was actually Monica Audino, a Veronese who could easily be mistaken for the leader of Fratelli d’Italia. Monica, a commercial agent by profession, immediately won over the public thanks to her extraordinary resemblance to Meloni: blonde, large, light eyes, and short in stature, just like the Prime Minister.

Monica was discovered by ‘Mr Cubanito’, the artistic director of the Parco Laureti village, who wasted no time in exploiting the situation to liven up the evening. “But she’s the one who looks like me, not the other way around,” Monica joked, proving that she not only has a similar appearance, but also a ready joke, just like the real Meloni.

The evening saw Monica and her sister Sabrina, as inseparable as Giorgia Meloni and her real-life sister, perform a passionate rendition of Roberto Murolo’s ‘Cu’mme’. The audience was enchanted, warmly applauding the performance of the lookalike of the Italian prime minister.

Monica’s presence was not limited to that single evening. ‘Mr Cubanito’ has in fact expressed the desire to have her as a juror of honor at the Miss Rimini Village competition, scheduled for next week on the same stage. “If ‘institutional commitments’ allow it,” quipped the artistic director, “we would very much like to have her with us.”
