Aprilia Racing could be about to announce the new rider for the 2025 official team, who will join Jorge Martín and the choice could have fallen on Marco Bezzecchi, according to the international press, which goes even further and reports that the confirmation it could be a matter of hours.
Corsedimoto, according to Paddock-GP, claims that Aprilia Racing has decided who will be the next rider to join the team and the choice has fallen on Marco Bezzecchi, thus realizing a long-nurtured desire by the Noale team to have an Italian in the team.
With the confirmed departure of Aleix Espargaró and the confirmation that Maverick Viñales will join GASGAS Tech3, Jorge Martín had already signed, but there was still a place to fill and, according to the international press, Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) is the most likely chosen one.
If this news turns out to be true, the factory teams would be almost complete, leaving only two places open: Yamaha has Fabio Quartararo for next season and Honda has Luca Marini under contract for another year.
If this possibility materializes, the VR46 Racing Team, Gresini and Trackhouse would still have two places open, joined by Pramac Racing, which has the distinction of still being involved in the discussion between Ducati and Yamaha over which team will line up in the satellite position.
