Proclaimed by the trade unions, the agitation is called from 3am on Sunday to 2am on Monday 17 June 2024 and there are no guarantee periods.

The company states that “trains traveling once the strike has started still arrive at their final destination if it can be reached within an hour of the start of the trade union agitation”; after an hour the trains can stop even before reaching the final destination. Trenitalia also explains in a note that those who intend to abandon the trip can request a refund up to the departure time of the booked train, for Intercity and Frecce trains; until midnight the day before the strike itself, for regional trains. “Alternatively – they say from Trenitalia – they can reschedule the journey, under similar transport conditions, as soon as possible, depending on seat availability”.
