L’AQUILA – Dust off your lenses, put on comfortable shoes and bring a lot of curiosity and desire to explore the most hidden corners of L’Aquila, because photography is one of those loves that change your life forever. An opportunity not to be missed, the one proposed by Anonima Fotografi, aimed at anyone, from amateur photographers to those who simply want to spend a few hours in company: Sunday 23 June there will be the first photographic walk with Anonima Fotografi, themed Street Photography. On this occasion we will take a tour of the city centre, in search of those small and large wonders of the capital that the lenses will be able to capture. We start at 4pm with a meeting in front, needless to say, of La Camera Oscura, a photographic laboratory in the center near Piazza Duomo, and from there the group will go exploring, for a city adventure that will last approximately 3 and a half hours. Any photographic medium is allowed: the most important thing is to have a camera that you like, feels good and is happy to hold it in your hand. And let yourself be guided by inspiration.

The passion for photography. A start almost for fun. The pleasure of capturing, the desire to discover, the desire to excite. The Anonima Fotografi is nothing other than this: a group of friends, eclectic and heterogeneous, who wanted to break away from the too rigid patterns of cultural activities that are seen around. They are girls and boys who like to take photographs and talk about photography, who come together to discuss and discuss common interests, each other’s particular inclinations and always look for new ideas and insights. And almost for fun, Anonimag was also born, the magazine self-produced by the group which comes out quarterly and which includes a series of photographic mini-projects, in-depth articles, interviews and even some advertising parodies.
A simple pastime that has grown, attracting more and more attention and following and which has pushed Anonima Fotografi to formalize the association, organizing events open to anyone. And so the idea of the first photographic outing in L’Aquila was born: an outing where we can go to a place that intrigues us, perhaps leaving aside the places we know to explore those corners and linger on those details never seen before, leaving the guide to the desires and inspiration of the moment.
Go for a walk and never force yourself to take photos, because otherwise the poetry will be lost and the life they contain will be paralyzed. It’s like forcing love or friendship, it’s practically impossible. The secret of the camera is all here: the instant that sheds light by tearing an event from the flow of life, the time of the luminous moment that takes an image away from death, fixing it forever. Photographing is like walking in the universe. We begin to look with new eyes: the conventional world places a screen on us; we need to abandon it when we pick up the lens and dedicate ourselves to photography.
