The councilor announces the delivery of the full text
VITERBO – Councilor Marco Bruzziches explains, through a press note published by Viterbo Today, why he decided to record the evening with Frontini and her husband and announces the delivery of the full transcript to his colleagues.
It was the evening of last September 26th when the mayor Chiara Frontini and her husband Fabio Cavini went to dinner at the home of the councilor Marco Bruzziches, the appointment which was initially supposed to be at the restaurant, instead ended up within the walls of the Bruzziches home as declared by the Frontini herself after the complaint which cost her and her husband a request for indictment for threats to a political body.
“We thought we were attending a convivial dinner but instead the invitation, moved at the last minute from a public place to a private home, hid a premeditated desire to record conversations and distort their meaning to follow a clear political plan“.
Today the word went to the owner of the house.
“Cavini – rBring the Bruzziches press note -, as soon as he entered my house, he carried out, in a not even very concealed manner, a sort of search in the hidden corners, which had no other justification than that, which I understood only in hindsight, of verifying the absence of hidden sound or video systems. He allowed himself to speak only after being reassured in this sense.”.
Recording systems that evidently existed and which recorded the entire evening’s conversation on tape, where the alleged threats allegedly occurred.
Dialogues that the opposition would like to know in their entirety, thus making the request during the last city council meeting.
“I think it’s right – says Bruzziches – meet the more than legitimate requests made by the opposition during the council meeting of 13 June. Therefore I am making the file containing the full text of the transcription of the sound recording of what was said by all those present at the famous dinner on 26 September 2023 available to councilors who request it.”.
Bruzziches explains the reason for this decision: “Yes tIt’s about a choice that follows the transparency and clarity into which I immediately channeled the narration of the facts in which, despite myself, I was involved. Facts that affect two different, although contiguous, areas. The judicial one, where the judiciary will decide whether the events that occurred constitute a crime and, if so, to identify and punish the guilty person or persons. And the political one in which democratic institutions and citizens will evaluate, regardless of the outcome of the criminal trial, the statements of the participants at the dinner and their effects on administrative activity. The text will obviously be sent with the names of those mentioned during the conversation appropriately obscured. For a correct understanding of the content of the transcript I believe it is appropriate, also repeating what has already been said, to highlight that it was the mayor, through her secretary, who urged me, with great insistence and urgency, to organize the dinner, also specifying the participants. The decision to record the event arose from such insistence that it had put me on the alert also because absolutely reliable people had told me “strange” episodes that had happened to other subjects suspected of not being perfectly aligned with the mayor and her magic circle“.
