They pretended to be disabled and asked for alms, four reported in Cagliari La Nuova Sardegna

Cagliari They pretended to be disabled in front of supermarkets in shopping centers to make people feel sorry for them and ask for alms. Four of them, two men and two women between the ages of 19 and 24, originally from Romania, were reported by the police squad’s squad for the alleged crime of fraud in collaboration with each other. The officers intervened in the “I Fenicotteri” shopping center as a report had been received regarding the presence of two women who, pretending to be deaf and dumb, were insistently asking for money from customers who entered inside.

The police, recalling very recent similar events committed by citizens of Eastern Europe, in particular on the evening of 10 June in the central Piazza Yenne, identified a car with a Romanian license plate in the parking area of the shopping centre, proceeding to identify the occupants. During the search of the vehicle, the officers found an envelope containing fake fundraising forms with signatures, postal codes and city names, as well as the sums received as donations from unsuspecting citizens, approximately 1,200 euros. At the end of the investigations, the four were reported in a state of freedom for the hypothesis of the crime of fraud in collaboration with each other. (l.on)
