The decisive return match between Virtus Cagliari and Melsped Padova will be played tomorrow. The A/2 Women’s Basketball Series is up for grabs.
The situation. Tomorrow the quintet coached by Fabrizio Staico will start from the +8 achieved in the match in Veneto (53-61 final last Saturday). A small treasure from which to start in order to conquer the Serie A/2 that has been missing for three years at Virtussina. At PalaRestivo a concentrated and determined Virtus will be needed; in fact, a Melsped Padova will arrive who will play with a knife between her teeth, ready to give a hard time, play a bad joke on the Cagliaritans and snatch the ticket for the A/2. Concentration and a lot of determination will be fundamental for Corda and her companions to be able to achieve the feat.
Field Factor. It will be crucial. At the PalaRestivo, Virtus has never lost this year, and this is a fundamental fact. The climate could also have an impact, which in addition to being hot for the fans will also be hot for the temperature, the latter aspect which could apply to both teams. Playing at 5pm inside the “ball” with 28 degrees expected outside will be an additional factor that will not be easy to manage.
