CIVITAVECCHIA – For the Lionistic Year 2023 / 2024 the National Study Theme is “Let’s save bees and biodiversity”. In this regard, the Civitavecchia Porto Traiano Lions Club has organised, together with the Il Ponte Association – Solidarity Center of Don Egidio Smacchia OdV, a conference which aims to inform public opinion and our leaders on the importance of protection of the aforementioned pollinator in the context of biodiversity. The event obtained the patronage of the Municipality of Civitavecchia and the financing of the Ca.Ri.Civ. Foundation. The initiative will be held on Thursday 27 June, starting from 4.15 pm with a visit to the apiary set up at the “Il Ponte” Community ”, located in Via Veneto 30/C in Civitavecchia, and will continue in the Auditorium with the interventions of the speakers, Prof. Pier Paolo Danieli of the University of Tuscia, Dr. Paolo Spiccalunto, President of the Arnia Onlus Association and the young people of the Il Ponte Community, who are involved in the apiary project. The work will conclude with a tasting of tea with honey produced in the community.
The President of the organizing Lions Club, Dr. Sara Fresi, and the President of the Il Ponte Association, Attorney Pietro Messina, welcomed and accompanied the guests.
