The AreaDanza _ Urban Dance Festival returns to Udine and Venzone

On Sunday 23 June, Venzone hosts the inauguration of the fifteenth edition of AreaDanza _ Urban Dance Festival, organized by the Compagnia Arearea. Artistic director Marta Bevilacqua announced that the festival will propose site-specific projects, host emerging and signature companies, and offer opportunities for dialogue on dance and its networks.

It begins at 10am in Piazza Municipio with three free performances ofCreative, Local, Dance!“. In the afternoon, from 3pm, the back side of the Duomo Sant’Andrea Apostolo will host “Touch up 4.0”, followed by “So close, so far” at 3.30pm, “Più forte di me” at 4pm, “O NAS / About us” at 5pm and “Silence” at 5.30pm. The day will end at 6pm under the Town Hall Loggia with “Messaggeri – Preludio”.

From 1st to 6th July, the festival will move to Udine, animating the churchyard of San Francesco and the University gardens. The Tina Modotti Gallery will host interactive performances and meetings with regional and national networks. AreaDanza it will end with a final event at the Lionello loggia. The performances of “Creative, Local, Dance!” and “Bach to dance” have free admission, while the other shows have an entrance fee of 5 euros.
