For tomorrow, Sunday 16 June 2024, the map for the Civil Protection’s weather alerts is almost entirely green, except for some sectors of two regions of Northern Italy where critical hydrogeological and hydraulic risk persists. For Sunday, in fact, the Civil Protection has issued a yellow weather alert which concerns some sectors of Veneto and Lombardy.
The weather forecast predicts the transit of a modest disturbed pulse across northern Italy from this afternoon, which will cause instability especially in the central-western mountain areas and partly in the foothills, with probable showers and thunderstorms but with a very low risk of intense phenomena . For the next few hours, variability is expected in the mountains, especially in the Belluno area, with the possibility of some local showers or thunderstorms, but with less probable, widespread and smaller phenomena.
Yellow weather alert tomorrow 16 June in two regions
Two regions are at risk of bad weather and a yellow weather alert tomorrow, Sunday 16 June. As stated on the Civil Protection website, a ordinary criticality for hydraulic risk in the following sectors of Veneto: Basso Brenta-Bacchiglione and Fratta Gorzone, Adige-Garda and Lessini mountains, Po, Fissero-Tartaro-Canalbianco and Basso Adige. The yellow hydraulic criticality is linked to the persistence of high levels along the Adige river and to the specific criticalities that still affect the embankment body along the downstream section of Boara Pisani.
