The Ducati Barocco Club of Modica turns twenty. In fact, it was way back in 2004 when the Ducati community of the City of Modica was officially born, recognized by the Borgo Panigale company, home of the historic Italian motorcycle company.
But the dream was to bring the Ducati Club to Modica. In fact, the headquarters were initially in Vittoria only in 2007, when they were moved to Modica and from there the official history of the “eagles of the County” began.
The President Giovanni Avola, together with some members of the Club, was received yesterday at the Municipality of Modica by the mayor Maria Monisteri, by the president of the Council Maricristina Minardo and by some representatives of the council to officially present tomorrow morning’s event which will be held at ‘Floridia Auditorium to celebrate this important milestone in the presence of all the members and all the friends who have supported the Club over these long years.
A club that has become a point of reference for fans of the red. In fact, the official Ducati store has also opened in Modica. This has meant that in recent years numerous two-wheel enthusiasts have come to the city, also attracted by the numerous events organized by the Club, such as the Made in Italy festival, an exhibition of multi-brand vintage motorbikes where patrons had the opportunity to admire the motoring excellences made in Italy or like when in 2013 all the presidents of the DOC clubs of the world were hosted which, let us remember, are only 85. On that occasion, the guests, coming from various parts of the world, in addition to appreciating the park motorcycles of all the members of the club, had the opportunity to get to know Modica and its traditions. For this reason, in all these years the Club has also represented a great resource for tourism for the city.
On the occasion of its twentieth anniversary, the club will present plaques in recognition of the members, friends and numerous supporters who have contributed to the creation and growth of the Club over the past 20 years.
