From the regional council of Anaao-Assomed, the main union of hospital doctors, which met in recent days in Teramo, on the unanimous proposal of the members of the company secretariat, the name of Filippo Gianfelice emerged as the official candidate for the role of president of the Order of the surgeons of the province of Teramo.
Gianfelice’s candidacy is promoted in view of the renewal of the Council of the Medical Association expected in the autumn.
Gianfelice, an esteemed vascular surgeon who has been operating in the province of Teramo for thirty years, is a member of the national management of Anaao-Assomed. Former corporate and regional secretary of the union, he is currently national coordinator of the Anaao National Observatory for the Free Profession. In Abruzzo he holds the position of member of the joint body for ALPI (intramural freelance activity) and of the Commission for waiting lists.
The candidacy arises from the need, clearly expressed by law 3 of 11 January 2018 and reiterated by the decree of the Ministry of Health of 15 March 2018, to promote renewal, “fostering gender balance and generational turnover in representation”, through a gradual transition towards a new council of the Order, no longer crystallized over time, but open to discussion and change over the years.
“The corporate and regional secretaries of the Anaao, strengthened by the support of their members, reiterate their trust and human, as well as professional, esteem towards a person capable of aggregating and representing all the souls present in the Order as a synthesis between the hospital doctors and local doctors. Negotiations with the relevant trade unions have already started.”
