DAVOLI (CZ) – Proposed by the cultural animator Domenico Lanciano from Badolato and accepted by the prof. Aldo Marcellino, director of the Public Library of Davoli, la Library of Love can be said to be already operational after the University of Generations sent one first donation of 36 books. Volumes of particular importance for a “360 degree love” and then some historical relics for the Archive.

Not only books but also art
Other people have expressed the willingness to make donations of books and documents. Furthermore, two artists will soon present their own works for what can already be defined as the “Art Gallery of Love” which will certainly have received so many of those works by the end of the year that they can be exhibited to the public in a special exhibition.
THE first two artists I’m the Lucanian lady, Sharonwhich it makes available eight drawings used to accompany your book of “Love Poems” in press; and the young painter from Catanzaro, Claudio Caroleowho will very soon bring one of his recent canvases (60 x 80 cm) entitled “Unknown love”.
As Caroleo describes his work: “Love is suffering, love is mystery, love is betrayal. The journey goes through an explosive phase, as the artist wants to demonstrate in this canvas. The colors impact the canvas almost “overwhelming” it, similarly to the loving passion that reveals itself to lovers in an overwhelming and uncontainable way. Passion, like fire, which devours lover and beloved… Passion which is colored red and then vanishes, giving way to orange which expresses eros and the joy of falling in love. Then it turns yellow, expressing well-being and sincerity… to become almost gold because true love is the most precious thing in the world. In the background, fuchsia paints love in all its contradictions. Fuchsia, like unknown love, a miscellany of warm and cold colours, of hot and cold emotions: passion and tenderness, extroversion and introversion, sweetness and aggression, protection and jealousy, happiness and yearning”. The Library of Love and the nascent one Pinacoteca dell’Amore seem to be the events of the year for Davoli and surrounding areas.
