The Province of La Spezia has signed an agreement with the Canale Lunense Reclamation and Irrigation Consortium for the maintenance activities of provincial road 21, or Viale XXV Aprile in the Sarzana and Val di Magra area, in particular regarding the mowing of vegetation. The consortium is interested in directly managing the maintenance of the road section of the SP21 because many works within its competence, in particular the canals, are contiguous with the road which in many passages crosses technical infrastructures relating to the water network.

The funds currently available to the Province will cover the expenses incurred directly by the Consortium which, already operating on site for the management of the areas adjacent to the SP21 and for the mowing activities along the canals adjacent to the road section with vehicles and technical equipment suitable for the type of The intervention will thus be able to guarantee a service fully compliant with the needs of citizens and in the interests of both entities. The collaborative relationship between the Province and the Lunense Canal Consortium is already active and, in fact, in recent days the first mowing works have begun along the route of Viale XXV Aprile.
